SCOTT SCHLACHTER, DO, FACG
Dr. Schlachter received his undergraduate degree from The University of Delaware in 1987. He then earned his degree in Medicine from the University of Health Sciences in 1991. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Seton Hall University where he was the Chief Medical Resident followed by a Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 1998.
Dr. Schlachter is Board Certified in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Internal Medicine. He is a member of numerous Gastroenterology societies including The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, The American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Schlachter is proficient in all advanced endoscopic gastrointestinal and biliary procedures and is a strong advocate of colorectal cancer screening and prevention. He has been the Outstanding Teaching Attending of the Year at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he helps train tomorrow’s physicians.
Dr. Schlachter enjoys music, baseball, classic cars, traveling and spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.
